Indications
Phlegm-heat with Gall Bladder/Stomach disharmony: insomnia, anxiety, palpitations, irritability, dizziness, nausea and a bitter taste.
Tongue & Pulse
Tongue: greasy, slightly yellow coat. Pulse: wiry, slippery or rapid.
Modifications
Add Huang Lian (Huang Lian Wen Dan Tang) for more heat; add Suan Zao Ren for insomnia.
Cautions & Contraindications
Use with caution where there is little phlegm and marked yin deficiency.
