This point, on the forehead, is a principal local point for the forehead and eyes and a major point for facial paralysis affecting the upper face.
Location
On the forehead, 1 cun superior to the midpoint of the eyebrow, directly above the pupil.
Anatomy
On the frontalis; the lateral branches of the frontal and supraorbital arteries; the lateral branch of the frontal nerve.

- Activates the channel for facial paralysis
Indications
Frontal headache, eye disorders and twitching of the eyelid, facial paralysis affecting the forehead, and drooping eyelid.
Needling
0.3-0.5 cun, transverse insertion (often towards the eyebrow for facial paralysis).
Moxibustion Suitability
Moxibustion is generally not used on the face.
Point Combinations
With LI-4 and ST-2 for facial paralysis; with Yuyao for the forehead.
