Location

On the upper abdomen, 1 cun superior to the umbilicus, 2 cun lateral to the anterior midline.

Anatomy

On the rectus abdominis; the inferior epigastric artery; the tenth intercostal nerve.

Indications

Stomach pain, vomiting, mania and mental-emotional disorders, and bleeding of the tongue.

Needling

0.5-1.0 cun, perpendicular insertion.

Moxibustion Suitability

Moxibustion may be used.

With ST-40 for phlegm-related mental disorders.
