Spleen 14 (SP 14) Fu Jie 腹結 — Abdomen Knot

Location

On the lower abdomen, 1.3 cun inferior to SP-15 (1.3 cun below the level of the umbilicus), 4 cun lateral to the anterior midline.

Anatomy

On the external and internal oblique and transversus abdominis; the eleventh intercostal and inferior epigastric arteries; the eleventh intercostal nerve.

Indications

Abdominal pain and distension, diarrhoea, and constipation.

0.7-1.0 cun, perpendicular insertion.
