Fushe (SP-13), “Bowel Abode”, in the lower abdomen, regulates qi, relieves abdominal pain and dissipates masses.

Location

On the lower abdomen, 4 cun inferior to the umbilicus and 4 cun lateral to the anterior midline.

Anatomy

On the external and internal oblique and transversus abdominis; the superficial and inferior epigastric arteries; the ilioinguinal nerve.

  • Regulates qi and dissipates accumulations
  • Relieves abdominal pain and treats hernia

Indications

Lower abdominal pain, hernia, and abdominal masses.

Needling

0.7-1.0 cun, perpendicular insertion.

Moxibustion Suitability

Suitable for moxibustion.

Point Combinations

With SP-12 and REN-6 for hernia and abdominal masses.
