  • Stops chronic diarrhoea/dysentery and bleeding

Indications

Deficiency-cold chronic dysentery: unremitting diarrhoea or dysentery with pus and dull-coloured blood, abdominal pain that likes warmth and pressure, and no tenesmus.

Tongue & Pulse

Tongue: pale with a white coat. Pulse: deep, slow and weak.

Modifications

For acute damp-heat dysentery this is contraindicated.

Cautions & Contraindications

Only for chronic deficiency-cold dysentery, never acute damp-heat dysentery.
