Indications

Postpartum blood stasis with cold: retained lochia, lower abdominal pain that resists pressure, and cold in the lower abdomen.

Tongue & Pulse

Tongue: pale-purple. Pulse: thin and hesitant.

Modifications

Short-term postpartum use; modify or stop once lochia clears.

Cautions & Contraindications

For postpartum cold-stasis; not where there is heat in the blood or profuse fresh bleeding.
