• Tao Ren, Hong Hua, Dang Gui, Chuan Xiong, Mo Yao, Wu Ling Zhi (invigorate blood)
• Qin Jiao, Qiang Huo (wind-damp); Niu Xi, Di Long, Xiang Fu, Gan Cao

• Invigorates the blood and dispels stasis; relieves pain
• Dispels wind-damp and unblocks the channels

Chronic painful obstruction with blood stasis: long-standing fixed shoulder, arm, low back, leg or generalised body pain that resists other treatment.

Tongue: dark or purplish. Pulse: wiry and choppy.

With marked deficiency, add tonics.

Contraindicated in pregnancy; for stasis-type pain.
