Touwei (ST-8), “Head Corner”, at the corner of the forehead, is a principal local point for frontal and temporal headache and eye disorders.
Location
On the head, 0.5 cun within the anterior hairline at the corner of the forehead, 4.5 cun lateral to the anterior midline.
Anatomy
On the temporalis and the epicranial aponeurosis; the frontal branches of the superficial temporal artery; the auriculotemporal nerve and the temporal branch of the facial nerve.

- Dispels wind and benefits the head and eyes
- Stops pain (headache) and clears the eyes
Indications
Frontal and temporal headache, dizziness, blurred and painful vision, excessive lacrimation, and twitching of the eyelids.
Needling
0.5-1.0 cun, transverse insertion.
Moxibustion Suitability
Moxibustion is generally not used.
Point Combinations
With Taiyang and GB-8 for headache.
