Yinbai (SP-1), “Hidden White”, is the Jing-Well and Wood point of the Spleen channel. It strengthens the Spleen’s control of blood, stops bleeding and calms the spirit.
Location
On the medial side of the great toe, approximately 0.1 cun proximal to the corner of the nail.
Anatomy
The nail bed of the great toe; the dorsal digital artery; the dorsal digital nerve from the deep peroneal nerve.

- Strengthens the Spleen and governs the blood (stops bleeding)

Indications
Excessive uterine bleeding, blood in the stool or urine, abdominal distension, dream-disturbed sleep and mania, and childhood convulsions.
Needling
0.1 cun shallow insertion, or prick to bleed; moxa is often preferred for bleeding.
Moxibustion Suitability
Highly suitable - direct or indirect moxa on SP-1 is a classic treatment for excessive uterine bleeding.
Point Combinations
With SP-10 and LV-1 for uterine bleeding; with moxa for menorrhagia.
