This point, in the centre of the chin groove, is the last point of the Conception Vessel. It dispels wind, benefits the face and mouth, and connects the Ren and Du circuit when joined with DU-26.
Location
On the face, in the depression in the centre of the mentolabial groove (between the lower lip and the chin).
Anatomy
In the orbicularis oris and mentalis; the inferior labial artery; the buccal branch of the facial nerve and the mandibular nerve.

Indications
Facial paralysis and swelling, deviation of the mouth, toothache and gum disorders, excessive salivation, and (classically) wasting and thirsting disorder.
Needling
0.2-0.3 cun, oblique upward insertion.
Moxibustion Suitability
Suitable for moxibustion.
Point Combinations
With DU-26 for facial paralysis and to link the Ren and Du; with LI-4 for the face and mouth.
