This is the Yuan-Source point of the Gall Bladder channel. It spreads Liver qi, clears damp-heat, relieves hypochondriac pain and benefits the ankle.
Location
On the anterolateral aspect of the ankle, in the depression anterior and inferior to the lateral malleolus, lateral to the tendon of extensor digitorum longus.
Anatomy
Lateral to the extensor digitorum longus tendon; the lateral anterior malleolar artery; the intermediate dorsal cutaneous nerve and the superficial peroneal nerve.

Indications
Hypochondriac pain and fullness, bitter taste, swelling of the axilla, and pain and swelling of the ankle.
Needling
0.5-0.8 cun, perpendicular insertion.
Moxibustion Suitability
Suitable for moxibustion.
Point Combinations
With GB-34 and LV-14 for hypochondriac pain; with surrounding ankle points for the ankle.
