Location

On the head, in the depression posterior and inferior to the mastoid process.

Anatomy

At the posterior border of sternocleidomastoid, at the mastoid; the posterior auricular artery and vein; the lesser occipital nerve.

Indications

Headache, insomnia, pain and stiffness of the neck, facial paralysis, toothache, and swelling of the cheek.

Needling

0.3-0.5 cun, oblique insertion.

Moxibustion Suitability

Suitable for moxibustion.

Point Combinations

With GB-20 for headache and neck stiffness; with HT-7 for insomnia.
