Yinjiao (DU-28), “Gum Intersection”, inside the upper lip, is the last point of the Governing Vessel. It benefits the gums, nose and eyes and calms the spirit.
Location
Inside the upper lip, at the junction of the upper lip frenulum and the upper gum.
Anatomy
At the upper labial frenulum; the superior labial artery; the superior alveolar nerve.

Indications
Swelling and pain of the gums, nasal congestion and polyps, mania, and eye disorders.
Needling
0.1-0.2 cun, oblique upward insertion, or prick to bleed.

With DU-26 and LI-20 for the face and nose.
