Jinmen (BL-63), “Golden Gate”, is the Xi-Cleft point of the Bladder channel. It activates the channel, relieves acute pain and calms convulsions.
Location
On the lateral aspect of the foot, in the depression distal and inferior to BL-62, below the anterior border of the lateral malleolus, lateral to the cuboid bone.
Anatomy
On the cuboid; the lateral plantar artery; the lateral dorsal cutaneous nerve and the lateral plantar nerve.

Indications
Acute lower back pain, pain of the lateral ankle and foot, childhood convulsions, and epilepsy.
Needling
0.3-0.5 cun, perpendicular insertion.
