Wuchu (BL-5), “Fifth Place”, on the head, dispels wind, relieves headache and settles convulsions.

Location

On the head, 1 cun within the anterior hairline, 1.5 cun lateral to the midline.

Anatomy

On the epicranial aponeurosis; the frontal artery and vein; the medial branch of the frontal nerve.

  • Dispels wind and clears the head
  • Benefits the eyes and settles convulsions

Indications

Headache and dizziness, blurred vision, and epilepsy and convulsions.

Needling

0.3-0.5 cun, transverse insertion.

Moxibustion Suitability

Suitable for moxibustion.

Point Combinations

With DU-23 for headache.
