BL-30 Baihuanshu

Baihuanshu (BL-30), “White Ring Shu”, on the sacrum, benefits the lower burner and genitals and strengthens the lumbosacral region.

Location

On the sacrum, 1.5 cun lateral to the midline, level with the fourth posterior sacral foramen (S4).

Anatomy

On the gluteus maximus; the inferior gluteal and lateral sacral arteries; the inferior gluteal nerve.

  • Regulates menstruation and stops vaginal discharge

Indications

Abnormal vaginal discharge, irregular menstruation, seminal emission, lumbosacral pain, and hernia.

Needling

0.8-1.2 cun, perpendicular insertion.

Moxibustion Suitability

Suitable for moxibustion.

Point Combinations

With BL-31 to BL-34 for lower-burner and genital disorders.
