BL-24 Qihaishu

Qihaishu (BL-24), “Sea of Qi Shu”, on the lower back, strengthens the lower back and regulates qi and blood in the lower burner.

Location

On the lower back, 1.5 cun lateral to the lower border of the spinous process of the third lumbar vertebra (L3).

Anatomy

On the erector spinae; the lumbar artery; the dorsal rami of the lumbar nerves.

Indications

Lower back pain, irregular menstruation, and weakness and pain of the legs.

Needling

0.8-1.2 cun, perpendicular insertion.

With BL-23 and BL-25 for lower back pain.
