Ingredients

  • Xian He Ye (fresh lotus leaf), Xian Yin Hua (fresh honeysuckle), Xi Gua Cui Yi (watermelon rind)
  • Bian Dou Hua, Si Gua Pi, Zhu Ye Xin (all fresh, light)

Actions & Functions

  • Lightly clears summerheat from the collaterals

Indications

Mild summerheat: slight thirst, a mild headache and dizziness, a flushed face, and a stifling sensation, with the fluids not yet greatly damaged.

Tongue & Pulse

Tongue: red tip with a thin coat. Pulse: rapid.

Modifications

For more severe summerheat with qi-fluid damage, use Qing Shu Yi Qi Tang.

Cautions & Contraindications

For mild summerheat only; a light, aromatic formula.
