Indications
Traumatic injury with blood stasis: fixed, stabbing pain of the flanks, chest or body after a fall or blow, worse on movement, with bruising.
Tongue & Pulse
Tongue: dark or purplish. Pulse: wiry and tight (or choppy).
Modifications
Use a sustainable substitute for Chuan Shan Jia (pangolin is protected).
Cautions & Contraindications
Contraindicated in pregnancy; use briefly. Once stasis clears, tonify as needed.
