Ingredients

Actions & Functions

  • Nourishes the Lung and Kidney yin
  • Astringes the Lung and calms wheezing

Indications

Lung-Kidney yin deficiency: a chronic dry cough or wheezing, shortness of breath, night sweats, a dry mouth, and sore weak lower back.

Tongue & Pulse

Tongue: red with little coat. Pulse: thin and rapid.

Modifications

With marked Lung dryness, add Sha Shen.

Cautions & Contraindications

Cloying; use with caution in Spleen deficiency and damp-phlegm cough.
