Indications

Blood-stasis pain: dysmenorrhoea, postpartum abdominal pain with retained lochia, and stabbing chest or epigastric pain.

Tongue & Pulse

Tongue: dark or purplish. Pulse: choppy.

Modifications

Combined into larger formulas for chest or abdominal stasis pain.

Cautions & Contraindications

Contraindicated in pregnancy; use with care where there is no stasis.
