Mulberry Leaf and Apricot Kernel Decoction

Wen Bing Tiao Bian, 1798

• Sang Ye & Xing Ren – chief; Sha Shen, Zhe Bei Mu (moisten/transform)
• Dan Dou Chi, Zhi Zi Pi, Li Pi (pear skin)

• Disperses warm-dryness
• Moistens the Lung and stops a dry cough

Warm-dryness attacking the Lung: a dry cough with little or no sputum, a dry throat and nose, thirst, and a slight headache and fever.

Tongue: red tip with a thin, dry white coat. Pulse: floating, rapid (or thin and rapid).

With more Lung heat, add herbs to clear the Lung.

For mild warm-dryness; for deeper Lung dryness/heat use Qing Zao Jiu Fei Tang.
