Ingredients

Actions & Functions

  • Disperses warm-dryness
  • Moistens the Lung and stops a dry cough

Indications

Warm-dryness attacking the Lung: a dry cough with little or no sputum, a dry throat and nose, thirst, and a slight headache and fever.

Tongue & Pulse

Tongue: red tip with a thin, dry white coat. Pulse: floating, rapid (or thin and rapid).

Modifications

With more Lung heat, add herbs to clear the Lung.

Cautions & Contraindications

For mild warm-dryness; for deeper Lung dryness/heat use Qing Zao Jiu Fei Tang.
