Indications

Liver yang/wind rising: headache, dizziness, tinnitus, irritability, insomnia, and a stiff or numb sensation; commonly used for hypertension.

Tongue & Pulse

Tongue: red. Pulse: wiry and rapid.

Modifications

With marked yin deficiency, add herbs to nourish Liver-Kidney yin.

Cautions & Contraindications

For Liver yang/wind with heat; not for headache/dizziness from deficiency-cold.
