• Shan Zha – chief; Shen Qu, Lai Fu Zi (reduce food)
• Ban Xia, Chen Pi, Fu Ling (transform damp); Lian Qiao (clear heat)

• Reduces food stagnation and harmonises the Stomach
• Clears heat from food accumulation

Food stagnation: epigastric and abdominal distension and fullness, belching with a rotten smell, acid regurgitation, nausea, and loose stools or constipation.

Tongue: yellow, greasy coat. Pulse: slippery.

Add Bai Zhu (Da An Wan) for food stagnation with Spleen deficiency.

For excess food stagnation; use with care in pure deficiency.
