• Sang Bai Pi – chief
• Di Gu Pi – deputy
• Geng Mi (rice) & Zhi Gan Cao

• Drains Lung heat and calms wheezing and cough

Smouldering (lurking) Lung heat: cough, wheezing, skin that feels hot to the touch (worse in the afternoon), and possibly a low fever.

Tongue: red with a yellow coat. Pulse: thin and rapid.

With more heat, add Huang Qin; with dryness, add Mai Men Dong.

For Lung heat from deficiency/smouldering; not for wind-cold cough.
