Indications

Amenorrhoea, dysmenorrhoea and abdominal masses from blood stasis; traumatic injury; constipation from dryness; and intestinal abscess (appendicitis).

Dosage

4.5-9 g in decoction (crushed).

Common Combinations

With Hong Hua for blood stasis; with Da Huang (Tao He Cheng Qi Tang) for blood stasis with heat.

Cautions & Contraindications

Contraindicated in pregnancy; mildly toxic in large amounts - do not exceed the dose.
