Bladder 65 (BL 65) Shu Gu — Restraining Bone

This is the Shu-Stream and Wood point of the Bladder channel. As the sedation point it clears the head, dispels wind and relieves neck and back stiffness.

Bladder 65 (BL 65) Shu Gu 束骨 — Restraining Bone

Location

On the lateral aspect of the foot, in the depression proximal to the fifth metatarsophalangeal joint, at the border of the red and white skin.

Anatomy

On the abductor digiti minimi; the lateral plantar artery; the lateral dorsal cutaneous nerve and the lateral plantar nerve.

Indications

Headache and stiff neck, dizziness, lower back and leg pain, and mania.

Needling

0.3-0.5 cun, perpendicular insertion.

With BL-10 and GB-20 for stiff neck and headache.
