Location

On the buttock, 3 cun lateral to the midline, level with the second posterior sacral foramen (S2), level with BL-28.

Anatomy

On the gluteus maximus and medius; the superior gluteal artery; the superior gluteal nerve.

  • Regulates the lower burner and benefits the bladder
  • Relieves lumbosacral pain and benefits the Intestines

Indications

Difficult urination and retention of urine, lower abdominal distension, constipation, and lumbosacral and hip pain.

Needling

1.0-1.5 cun, perpendicular insertion.

Moxibustion Suitability

Suitable for moxibustion.

Point Combinations

With BL-28 and REN-3 for urinary disorders.
