Bladder 14 (BL 14) Jue Yin Shu — Jue Yin Shu

This is the Back-Shu point of the Pericardium. It regulates the Heart, unbinds the chest and calms the spirit.

Bladder 14 (BL 14) Jue Yin Shu 厥陰俞 — Jue Yin Shu

Location

On the upper back, 1.5 cun lateral to the lower border of the spinous process of the fourth thoracic vertebra (T4).

Anatomy

On the trapezius and rhomboid, over the erector spinae; the posterior intercostal artery; the dorsal rami of the thoracic nerves.

Actions & Functions

  • Regulates the Heart and the Pericardium (Back-Shu of the Pericardium)
  • Unbinds the chest and calms the spirit

Indications

Cardiac pain and palpitations, oppression of the chest, cough, and anxiety.

Needling

0.5-0.7 cun, oblique insertion towards the spine.

Moxibustion Suitability

Suitable for moxibustion.

Point Combinations

With BL-15 and PC-6 for cardiac disorders.
