This is the Front-Mu (alarm) point of the Heart. It calms the spirit, unbinds the chest, harmonises the Stomach and descends rebellious qi.
Location
On the upper abdomen, on the anterior midline, 6 cun superior to the umbilicus (2 cun below the sternocostal angle).
Anatomy
On the linea alba; the superior epigastric artery; the seventh intercostal nerve.

Indications
Cardiac pain and palpitations, anxiety, poor memory and mental-emotional disorders, mania, and chest pain, vomiting and acid regurgitation.
Needling
0.5-1.0 cun, oblique insertion downward; do not needle deeply or perpendicularly.
Moxibustion Suitability
Suitable for moxibustion.
Point Combinations
With HT-7 and PC-6 for anxiety and palpitations.
