Location

On the face, at the centre of the tip of the nose.

Anatomy

At the nasal tip cartilage; the lateral nasal branches of the facial artery and vein; the external nasal branch of the anterior ethmoidal nerve.

Actions & Functions

  • Restores consciousness and rescues yang (resuscitation, shock)
  • Benefits the nose

Indications

Loss of consciousness and shock, low blood pressure, nasal congestion, nosebleed, rhinitis, and rosacea of the nose.

Needling

0.2-0.3 cun, oblique upward insertion, or prick to bleed.

Moxibustion Suitability

Moxibustion is not used on the nasal tip.

Point Combinations

With DU-26 for resuscitation; with LI-20 for nasal disorders.
