Governing Vessel 7 (DU 7) Zhong Shu 中樞 — Central Pivot

Location

On the back, in the depression below the spinous process of the tenth thoracic vertebra (T10).

Anatomy

On the supraspinous and interspinous ligaments; the tenth intercostal arterial branch; the medial branch of the dorsal ramus of the tenth thoracic nerve.

Indications

Stomach pain, poor appetite, jaundice, and back pain and stiffness.

Needling

0.5-1.0 cun, oblique upward insertion.
