Governing Vessel 6 (DU 6) Ji Zhong 脊中 — Spine Centre

Location

On the back, in the depression below the spinous process of the eleventh thoracic vertebra (T11).

Anatomy

On the supraspinous and interspinous ligaments; the eleventh intercostal arterial branch; the medial branch of the dorsal ramus of the eleventh thoracic nerve.

Indications

Jaundice, diarrhoea and dysentery, haemorrhoids and rectal prolapse, epilepsy, and lower back pain.

Needling

0.5-1.0 cun, oblique upward insertion.

Moxibustion Suitability

Suitable for moxibustion.

Point Combinations

With BL-20 for Spleen disorders and jaundice.
