Gall Bladder 34 (GB 34) Yang Ling Quan — Yang Mound Spring

This is the He-Sea and Earth point of the Gall Bladder channel and the Influential (Hui-meeting) point of the sinews. It is the principal point for disorders of the sinews and tendons and benefits the Liver and Gall Bladder.

Gall Bladder 34 (GB 34) Yang Ling Quan 陽陵泉 — Yang Mound Spring

Location

On the lateral aspect of the lower leg, in the depression anterior and inferior to the head of the fibula.

Anatomy

On the peroneus longus; the inferior lateral genicular artery; the common peroneal nerve as it divides into the superficial and deep peroneal nerves.

Indications

Pain, weakness and contracture of the sinews and tendons anywhere in the body, hypochondriac pain, bitter taste and jaundice, hemiplegia, sciatica, and pain and swelling of the knee.

Needling

1.0-1.5 cun, perpendicular insertion.

Moxibustion Suitability

Suitable for moxibustion.

Point Combinations

With GB-30 and GB-31 for the leg; with LV-3 to spread Liver qi; with LV-14 and GB-24 for the gall bladder.
