Location

On the lateral abdomen, below the free end of the twelfth rib.

Anatomy

On the external and internal oblique and transversus abdominis; the eleventh intercostal artery; the eleventh intercostal nerve.

Indications

Lumbar pain, oedema and difficult urination, borborygmus and diarrhoea, and abdominal distension.

Needling

0.3-0.5 cun, perpendicular insertion.

With BL-23 and KI-3 for Kidney and lower back disorders.
