Location

On the head, superior to the apex of the ear, 1.5 cun within the hairline.

Anatomy

On the temporalis; the parietal branches of the superficial temporal artery; the auriculotemporal and greater occipital nerves.

  • Resolves phlegm and harmonises the Stomach (vomiting)

Indications

Migraine and temporal headache, dizziness, vomiting, and childhood convulsions.

Needling

0.5-1.0 cun, transverse insertion.
