Location

On the head, at the junction of a vertical line from the anterior border of the ear and a horizontal line through the apex of the ear.

Anatomy

On the temporalis; the superficial temporal artery; the temporal branch of the facial nerve and the auriculotemporal nerve.

Indications

Headache and migraine, swelling of the cheek and jaw, lockjaw, and toothache.

Needling

0.3-0.5 cun, transverse insertion.

Moxibustion Suitability
