This point, below the clavicle, is the last point of the Kidney channel. It descends rebellious Lung qi, unbinds the chest and is a key local point for cough and asthma.

Kidney 27 (KI 27) Shu Fu 俞府 — Shu Mansion

Location

On the chest, in the depression at the lower border of the clavicle, 2 cun lateral to the anterior midline.

Anatomy

On pectoralis major, below the clavicle; the internal mammary and subclavian vessels; the anterior cutaneous branch of the first intercostal nerve and the supraclavicular nerve.

Actions & Functions

  • Descends rebellious Lung qi and relieves cough and asthma
  • Unbinds the chest

Indications

Cough, asthma and wheezing, fullness and pain of the chest, and vomiting.

Needling

0.3-0.5 cun, oblique or transverse insertion.

Moxibustion Suitability

Suitable for moxibustion.

Point Combinations

With LU-1, REN-17 and ST-40 for cough and asthma.
