This is the Ying-Spring and Water point of the Stomach channel and the principal point for clearing heat from the Stomach and the Stomach channel (face, teeth, throat).
Location
On the dorsum of the foot, between the second and third toes, proximal to the web margin, at the border of the red and white skin.
Anatomy
Between the second and third toes; the dorsal digital artery; the medial dorsal cutaneous nerve of the foot.

Indications
Toothache of the lower jaw, sore throat, facial paralysis, epistaxis, frontal headache, stomach pain and acid regurgitation, dysentery and constipation, and pain and swelling of the foot.
Needling
0.3-0.5 cun, perpendicular or oblique insertion.
Moxibustion Suitability
Suitable for moxibustion, though more often needled to clear heat.
Point Combinations
With LI-4 for toothache and facial disorders; with ST-25 for Stomach heat and constipation.
