This is the Lower He-Sea point of the Large Intestine. It regulates the Intestines and Stomach and resolves damp-heat, and is the principal distal point for the Large Intestine.
Location
On the anterior lower leg, 6 cun inferior to ST-35 (3 cun below ST-36), one finger-breadth lateral to the anterior crest of the tibia.
Anatomy
On tibialis anterior; the anterior tibial artery and vein; the lateral sural cutaneous nerve and the deep peroneal nerve.

- Resolves damp-heat and stops diarrhoea and dysentery
Indications
Diarrhoea, dysentery, constipation, abdominal pain and distension, appendicitis, and motor impairment of the leg.
Needling
0.5-1.2 cun, perpendicular insertion.
Moxibustion Suitability
Suitable for moxibustion.
Point Combinations
With ST-25 for dysentery and diarrhoea; with ST-36 for the Stomach and Intestines.
