On the anterior thigh, 3 cun proximal to the superolateral border of the patella, on the line connecting the ASIS and the lateral border of the patella.
Anatomy
Between rectus femoris and vastus lateralis; the lateral circumflex femoral artery; the anterior and lateral femoral cutaneous nerves.

Needling
1.0-1.5 cun, perpendicular insertion.
