Spleen 11 (SP 11) Ji Men 箕門 — Winnower Gate

Location

On the medial aspect of the thigh, 6 cun proximal to SP-10, on the line connecting SP-10 and SP-12, in the groove medial to the sartorius muscle.

Anatomy

Between sartorius and adductor longus; the femoral artery and vein (deep); the anterior femoral cutaneous nerve and the saphenous nerve.

Indications

Difficult or painful urination, enuresis, and pain and swelling of the inguinal region.

Needling

0.5-1.0 cun, perpendicular insertion, avoiding the femoral artery.

With REN-3 and SP-9 for urinary disorders.
