This is the Yuan-Source and Shu-Stream point of the Pericardium channel. It clears Heart heat, calms the spirit and harmonises the stomach.

Pericardium 7 (PC 7) Da Ling 大陵 — Great Mound

Location

At the wrist, on the midpoint of the transverse wrist crease, between the tendons of palmaris longus and flexor carpi radialis.

Anatomy

Between palmaris longus and flexor carpi radialis tendons; the palmar carpal arterial network; the median nerve.

Indications

Cardiac pain and palpitations, mental-emotional disorders and mania, insomnia, stomach pain, and feverish palms.

Needling

0.3-0.5 cun, perpendicular insertion.

Moxibustion Suitability

Suitable for moxibustion.

Point Combinations

With HT-7 for mania and insomnia; with PC-6 for cardiac pain.
