Tianquan (PC-2), “Heavenly Spring”, on the upper arm, regulates Heart qi, unbinds the chest and relieves pain of the arm.
Location
On the anterior aspect of the upper arm, 2 cun distal to the anterior axillary fold, between the two heads of the biceps brachii muscle.
Anatomy
Biceps brachii; the muscular branches of the brachial artery; the medial antebrachial cutaneous nerve and the musculocutaneous nerve.

- Regulates qi and unbinds the chest
- Activates the channel and stops pain
Indications
Cardiac pain, fullness of the chest and costal region, cough, and pain of the inner arm.
Needling
0.5-1.0 cun, perpendicular insertion.
Moxibustion Suitability
Suitable for moxibustion.
Point Combinations
With PC-1 for chest pain; with PC-3 for arm pain.
