Indications

Wind-heat with headache and red eyes; Liver heat or Liver yang with red, painful eyes, headache and dizziness; and hypertension.

Dosage

4.5-15 g in decoction (or as tea).

Common Combinations

With Sang Ye for wind-heat and the eyes; with Gou Qi Zi (Qi Ju Di Huang Wan) for the eyes.

Cautions & Contraindications

Use with caution in qi deficiency with poor appetite and loose stools.
