Indications
Exterior cold with interior phlegm-fluid: chills and fever without sweating, cough and wheezing with copious thin, watery white sputum, and a stifling chest.
Tongue & Pulse
Tongue: moist white coat. Pulse: floating and tight.
Modifications
With interior heat, add Shi Gao.
Cautions & Contraindications
Warming and dispersing; not for cough from heat or yin deficiency. Use Xi Xin in small dose.
