Lian Hua Qing Wen (連花清瘟膠囊), ‘Lianhua Qingwen Capsules’, is a modern Chinese patent formula developed in China during the 2003 SARS epidemic. Drawing on Ma Xing Shi Gan Tang, Yin Qiao San and other classical sources, it clears heat and resolves toxicity, releases the exterior and diffuses the Lung. It has been widely studied for influenza and COVID-19.

Indications
Heat / toxic-heat respiratory infection: fever and aversion to cold, muscle aches, a stuffy or runny nose, cough, headache and sore throat, as in influenza and other viral respiratory illness.

Tongue: red with a yellow or yellow-greasy coat. Pulse: rapid.
