Location
On the face, anterior to the angle of the mandible, on the anterior border of the masseter muscle, in the groove where the facial artery pulsates.

On the masseter; the facial artery and vein; the facial nerve and the buccal nerve.

Indications
Facial paralysis and twitching, lockjaw (trismus), toothache, and swelling of the cheek and jaw.
Needling
0.2-0.3 cun, perpendicular insertion, avoiding the facial artery.
Moxibustion Suitability
Moxibustion is generally not used on the face.
