This is the Xi-Cleft point of the Spleen channel. It invigorates blood, regulates menstruation and is a principal point for acute dysmenorrhoea.
Location
On the medial aspect of the lower leg, 3 cun distal to SP-9, posterior to the medial border of the tibia.
Anatomy
Posterior to the tibia, on the gastrocnemius and soleus; the great saphenous vein and posterior tibial vessels; the medial crural cutaneous nerve and the tibial nerve.

Indications
Dysmenorrhoea, irregular and excessive uterine bleeding, abdominal pain and distension, difficult urination, and oedema.
Needling
0.5-1.0 cun, perpendicular insertion.
Moxibustion Suitability
Suitable for moxibustion.
Point Combinations
With SP-6 and REN-4 for dysmenorrhoea; with SP-10 for menstrual disorders.
